Grief Micro Retreat
Sun, Apr 10
|Saint Paul
Grief is a portal to joy. When we acknowledge our grief and offer it in a sacred, safe container, we feel deeply held, seen, and supported. This supports our self-actualization through wholeness and substance. If we do not honor the parts of us that feel grief, we are not whole.

About the event
We will be working with the framework of the 5 Gates of Grief, by Francis Weller, as laid out in The Wild Edge of Sorrow. The date of the event corresponds to potent astrological alignments. The event is designed to work with the energy of the time. More here.
The intimate ( 10 person cap) micro retreat will begin with a Cacao Ceremony followed by a circle to witness and be witnessed, to hold and be held.
We will then transition to a meditative experience using integral mindfulness and sound so that we can make contact with our grief and feel it deeply and safely.
Last, we will integrate this grief into our wholeness through a journaling practice, and end in the circle once again.
If you are not familiar with Ceremonial Cacao, read my blog. My experience is that most people find it supportive to the retreat. The recipe in the blog is the one I will be using.
